Dunstable Downs 20M Challenge 11 September 2011 Gavin Long reports: I like this race, I think I've done it 4 times before. The Downs are beautiful, although a tad breezy this time. Ploughed fields and muddy paths made it harder than usual especially as I'd opted for road shoes. It will remain on my calendar as an ideal preparation run for an autumn marathon. I'm grateful to Paul Burgess who would have finished much higher up if he hadn't sacrificed his own race to keep me company in the first half.
