Pilgrim's Cross 6m 1100ft ascent Steve White reports: An excellent little fell race across the Holcombe Moor, taking in Harcles and Bull Hill, the race is a figure of 8 round the Pilgrim's Cross Stone. The route was wet, very runnable and short of stiles, so it offered no opportunity for a breather. My legs are slowly recovering from the Borrowdale experience, and I managed a reasonable run, rewarding myself with a pint of Flat Cap at an inflation busting price of £2.20 in the pub afterwards. |
